We are committed to providing comprehensive support for Ukrainians arriving in the UK. Our advice service is free where possible and available for both Ukrainians and for those supporting Ukrainians here.
Those we have advised include the Government, MPs, Local Authorities, Job Centres, and a number of voluntary groups.
1. Information and Guidance:
We offer guidance on essential services, including housing, healthcare, education, and employment. We help Ukrainians understand their rights and the resources available to them, ensuring they can access everything they need to settle comfortably.
2. Community Connections:
Building a sense of community is vital for those who have faced displacement. We facilitate connections between Ukrainians and local support networks, including community groups, cultural organisations, and volunteer initiatives.
3. Employment Assistance:
Finding meaningful work is a key step in building a life in the UK. We work closely with job centres, and organisations such as United 4 Ukraine, in order to assist Ukrainians seek meaningful and sustainable employment. We are in the process of initiating a pilot scheme to assist professional Ukrainians to enter a pathway that recognises their skill set and will lead towards a job relevant to their previous experience.
4. Mental Health Support:
Having fled the war ourselves, and having lost a number of close friends, we understand the stress that Ukrainians are under. We know that being separated from loved ones and from your home isn’t easy. We support the organisation Lifeline Ukraine, Ukraine’s suicide prevention hotline, to help those when they are at their lowest.
